A construction consultant can compare proposals, organize project records, discuss construction methods in general terms, help frame corrective-work questions and prepare a defined written summary. The engagement should state what documents and areas will be reviewed, what will not be tested and how conflicts are disclosed.
A properly licensed residential inspector carries out work under the applicable state inspection framework. Engineering design, structural capacity calculations and certain technical certifications require appropriately licensed professionals. Environmental sampling and specialized testing may call for other qualified practitioners. Construction consulting should not be marketed as a replacement for these services.
A technical summary can help organize questions or records for an attorney, but it is not a legal opinion or a court-qualified expert report by default. Before engaging anyone, ask whether they may also bid corrective work, how any conflict is handled, and exactly which deliverables you will receive.
Professional licensing and permitted scopes differ by state. Verify the license and duties of the professional you engage; Patriot does not present construction consulting as a state-regulated residential inspection, engineering or legal representation. Patriot is a licensed general contractor, not an insurer, public adjuster or attorney.
